Process :
The PRO DOMO project reactivates a dome designed by the students of Boismard high school remained in the state of project interrupted by the first confinement of 2020. For this, Stéphane Mouflette, an artist from Rouen, is invited to think and make for this dome. Like his personal creations involving modular variations, he works with the students to deploy his learned geometries. With the work of the architect Yona Friedman in mind, his eponymous work, his models and his “feasible utopias”, the artist and the DTMS class reflect together, think about the unique piece, envisage their cohabitation to dream the city to come, before seeing it emerge.
After having sketched, modelled and cut out wooden pieces, they make a small crowd of miniature, modular and polysemic constructions to populate this architecture in the making. Then, they think about the colors and paint the ten or so skyscrapers to end up photographing them.
Restitution :
Like the fold-out instructions for Lego constructions, the restitution is revealed in the form of a poster colored in yellow and red and shows the modular assemblies made, as well as shots taken in the workshop.
