Workshop for children aged 7/12
Fantaisies géométriqueswith Sophie Grassart, artist
Sunday 9 June, 2.30pm – 5pm
Origami folding workshop
It looks like a kite! Or a flower. Or a sock. But no, it’s an umbrella! A square can be cut out and folded into any number of shapes.
For each of our exhibitions, we’re inviting Rouen artist Sophie Grassart, aka TIGRE, to offer a creative workshop for children. TIGRE is a place where practical art workshops for children and teenagers, a children’s library and a cultural programme dedicated to young audiences coexist.
The centre is run by Sophie Grassart, who combines her personal artistic concerns with contemporary and traditional practices, techniques borrowed from the plastic and manual arts, and materials of all kinds. There will first be a visit to the Centre photographique, and then the team will take the children to TIGRE, a 10-minute walk away at 45 rue Molière, for the practical workshop, where they will be collected at 5pm.
This is a free event for 7/12 year-olds.
The workshop can be booked in advance at info@centrephotographique.com
