Process :
Géraldine Millo, as part of Dans la forêt, offers students the opportunity to question their view of the forest through two workshops that introduce students to documentary and plastic creation.

Using leaves, moss and bark collected in the forest, students in the eighth and ninth grades create imaginary creatures with the help of artist Sophie Hanagarth. The students are invited to explore the imaginary world of the forest, inspired by the mythical creatures associated with it (wolves, ogres, unicorns, elves, etc.) The creatures are then photographed in the context of the forest by Géraldine Millo and the students.

Unveiling a more technical approach to the forest, the junior year and senior year students are accompanied by Géraldine Millo and Thomas Laufer, video editor, in the production of mini-documentaries testifying to the links they have with the forestry professions and this environment which is familiar to them. The students are also photographed with a film camera and filmed by Géraldine Millo.

Restitution :
An exhibition in the school gathers the students’ productions made with Géraldine Millo as well as her personal work during the residency, namely, the portraits of the students of junior year and senior year and an extract of the documentary film in progress. Also on display are the creatures created by the students accompanied by Sophie Hanagarth as well as their images in the form of photographic prints and postcards. A short film composed of mini-reports made by the students is shown.
