Course
Following the cycle of Tête-à-tête workshops designed specifically for the Grand Mare district in the Hauts-de-Rouen, in November 2018, the À Table project aims to extend the work of raising awareness of photography and the arts begun in the Grand Mare district. The question of food and the moment of the meal are addressed as a vector of exchange and motor of sociability. This theme echoes the exhibition held simultaneously at the Photographic Centre dedicated to the Italian artist Lorenzo Vitturi.
The project is divided into three workshops: photography / silk-screen printing / writing. Firstly, during the photography workshop with Fred Margueron, the young people collected various objects during their walks in the Hauts-de-Rouen area, which were used as the backdrop for the balanced staging. The silk-screen printing workshop with Fabrice Houdry enabled them to discover this technique by creating a tablecloth and illustrated placemats which were then used by the restaurant where the workshop took place. With Philippe Ripoll, the young people imagined fantastic stories based on images by Lorenzo Vitturi during a visit to the Photographic Centre.
Restitution
The project was published in the form of a newspaper À Table ! and the images from the photography workshop were exhibited on the windows of the restaurant LéO à table.
