Recycle, reinvent, photograph!

Like Thorsten Brinkmann’s self-portraits, each participant is invited to photograph himself – or a model – dressed in recycled fabrics and materials. Curtains, brooms and other invisible everyday objects will be used as props to create a character inspired by the German photographer’s quirky and chivalrous imagination. Details below.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Organisation
As part of the programming of events around its exhibition Thorsten Brinkmann: Farce Satrape, the Photographic Centre is organising a competition which will take place from Tuesday 30 October 2018 to Monday 7 January 2019. Participation in this competition is free of charge.

2. Competition
The aim of the “chic-à-brac” competition is to encourage and enhance the creativity of the participants while allowing an enriched approach to the works of photographer Thorsten Brinkmann, exhibited at the Centre photographique Rouen Normandie from 13 October 2018 to 26 January 2019.
Thus, in the image of Thorsten Brinkmann’s self-portraits, each participant is invited to photograph himself – or a model – indoors, dressed in recycled fabrics and materials. Participants undertake to hold the rights to the photographs and guarantee, where applicable, to have obtained prior authorisation from the models photographed.

The participants authorise the Photographic Centre to distribute the photographs on the communication media of its choice (website, social networks, etc.) for non-commercial purposes and with the corresponding credits.

4. Transmission of photographs
The photograph can be sent until Monday 7 January and must be in .jpg format and measure 30 cm at 300 dpi. If it is taken with a telephone, please send the file without reducing or compressing it.
