DIY staging and burlesque flight will be the focus of this workshop where children will play with notions of composition, perspective, and planes.

Young participants will be invited to invent and compose a flight scene from printed hot air balloons and cosmonauts, cut-out clouds, and origami airplanes that they will stage, from the end of their mini wooden picks, in front of a set that they will have drawn themselves.

Participants will be challenged to imagine a flight scene, emphasizing the notion of movement. To do this, stop motion, burst mode and the Boomerang app will be tools that young people can use to animate the skits they draw or act out and make their characters fly away!
